Try a full range of potato varieties in your garden this year. Includes Kennebec, Ozette, Jester, Cheshire, Red Pontiac, Purple Peruvian, and Yukon Gold. 1 lbs of each variety. 7 lbs total. *varieties subject to change*
Kennebec
A short oval potato with smooth pale yellow skin, shallow eyes and white flesh. Can be used for fries, hash browns and many other uses even without peeling. Kennebec, one of the best keepers, is resistant to blight, mosaic, late blight and net necrosis. Produces dependable heavy yields of large potatoes in most soils. A great plant for the North as it sunburns easily. Mid Season 85+ days
Ozette
This historic variety is one of the few potatoes imported directly from South America, and wasn't grown outside the Makah Nation until the 1980s. The Makah Tribe permitted Slow Food Seattle to board it onto the Slow Food Ark of Taste, a living catalog of delicious and distinctive foods facing extinction. A prolific fingerling with thin skin, creamy yellowish flesh, and a robust, earthly flavor. This is the one everyone is talking about!
Jester
An early season tuber. Purple skin with yellow around the eyes and variegated purple and yellow flesh. Produces small round tubers that are perfect for the home gardener. Good for salads or roasting. Sensitive to common scab. 65+days
Cheshire
A high yielding, early season tuber. Dark red skinned with yellow around the eyes and deep yellow flesh. This potato is best when roasted, steamed or baked. Eat this tasty tuber first as it does not have a long shelf life.
Red Pontiac
Versatile Red potato. Harvest early for red baby potatoes or let mature for large blocky potatoes. Thin red skin with shallow eyes and crisp white flesh. Excellent mashed or boiled. Good storing. Does well in heavy soils. Mid-Season. 80-100 days.
Purple Peruvian
This is the only purple fingerling. The medium to large sized tubers need really rich soil and lots of water to prosper. This is a very popular variety at the farmer's market! Late Season 95 + Days
Yukon Gold
Yellow fleshed and versatile. Thin skinned with buttery flavor. Moderate keeper. 65+ days.
