For much of the year, we are selling seed that is still in the ground. You can pre-order based on our conservative harvest estimates. If the actual harvest is less than our estimates, we can usually find a similar strain to substitute within the same varietal group, so please check YES to “May We Substitute?”. If you select NO we will send a refund for any sold-out strains. An expert always considers your location, similar traits in strain, and any other strains already on your order to avoid duplicates. You are also welcome to add any notes if you have specific requests for possible substitutions, or you can request that we contact you if substitutions are necessary.
Majestic Garlic is a porcelain-type hardneck variety with a unique history. This new strain for Filaree Farm was mutated from a Rocambole originally grown by Paul Pospisil in Ontario, Canada, in the late 1990s. From that Rocambole, a noticeably tall and robust Porcelain emerged, developing its own distinct characteristics and earning its place as a remarkable garlic variety.
Majestic produces very dense, large bulbs with 4–7 light pink to tan cloves. The cloves are substantial and easy to peel, offering the rich, full-bodied flavor expected from a high-quality Porcelain garlic. Known for its cold hardiness and long-lasting strong flavor, Majestic is an excellent choice for growers seeking a vigorous garlic with impressive bulbs and exceptional culinary qualities.
NOTE: Maximum allowable order size for this variety is 10 lbs.
When Will This Ship?
Orders shipping to Alaska will ship as soon as possible in September.
All other orders will be shipped in the order which they were received beginning in mid September. If you order late (after August 1), expect your order to ship mid-October thru November.
